Metal Cutting Simulation

Hello all,

So I am a Beginner in FREEFEM and currently I am working on a project which requires the simulation of metal cutting process and results of parameter such as Cutting force ,Temperature distribution are to be obtained for various Cutting tools Nose Radius , Depth of cut & Feed rate so do anyone have an idea that how could I perform those simulation using FREEFEM .

Dear Pavitharan,

You want a expertise in metal cutting, at level of mechanical modelisation, and the FreeFEM group is not the good place to get answer.

You ca see the work of Thierry Coupez or Houman Borouchaki for example.

After with de mechanical model, you can try to use FreeFEM to approximate.
