I recently bumped the FreeFem packages in Spack and Guix-HPC to 4.14.
I would like to hear if somebody is using these packages, if they work correctly and if there are things to change/improve.

Thank you for that! I would like to use it for the new composite spaces but it seems that it doesn’t compile with PETSc, do you know if it is made on purpose?
It is just not supported with these package managers. So you should compile from the sources.
