A problem about 3D mesh generation

Hi,everyone,

I have a question about tetgreconstruction. I give two files as follows, The difference between them is only the parameter hsize. However, test2.edp gives a wrong result. I’m confused about this.

I get the following results, the first picture is the result of test1.edp, which is correct. But the second picture displays nothing, and it give nan in terminal.

The installed version in my computer is 4.7, the problem maybe this?

I install the latest version 4.11, the problem is solved.

Good morning，Prof. Hecht.I am a beginner at FreeFEM. Without external import, can the 3D mesh provided by this software only generate layer meshes?

Prof. Hecht,I am very honored to receive your reply. I have tried “buildlayers mesh” to build a 3D mesh, but now I am encountering a new problem. For an externally imported 3D mesh (read mesh), I want to obtain its bottom mesh (2D  mesh), and then use this 2D mesh to build layers mesh. I would like to receive your suggestions on how to implement it.
