I’m investigating if I can use FreeFem for my new project.
For this project I would like to calculate the resonance frequencies (and modes) for different objects. This to be able to synthesize the sound it would make when hitting it at some position.
The goal is to simulate things like drum pads, cymbals xylophones etc.
Will this be possible using FreeFem? And if so, could you please give me some hints how to approach this?
