# Problem installing freefem on Ubuntu 22.04.2

Hi, I followed the installation guide and tried to compile it. After running “make” I got this error messages:

collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

make[3]: \*\*\* [Makefile:572: cvmsh2] error 1

make[2]: \*\*\* [Makefile:552: all-recursive] error 1

make[1]: \*\*\* [Makefile:808: all-recursive] error 1

make: \*\*\* [Makefile:758: all] error 2

Does anybody have an idea how to solve it?

This is the same as the issue mentioned in my previous post. [Compilation issue with superlu](https://community.freefem.org/t/compilation-issue-with-superlu/2532)

Thank you for the fast answer. I reconfigured with --disable-superlu. But now I get these error codes:

collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

make[3]: \*\*\* [Makefile:568: bamg] error 1

make[2]: \*\*\* [Makefile:552: all-recursive] error 1

make[1]: \*\*\* [Makefile:808: all-recursive] error 1

make: \*\*\* [Makefile:758: all] error 2
