# How to find the determinant or condition number of the stiffness matrix?

It’s not possible to this date, though a slight modification of the PETSc plugin could allow one to access the function [MatMumpsGetCntl — PETSc v3.21.1-112-gb1d24acd23d documentation](https://petsc.org/main/manualpages/Mat/MatMumpsGetCntl/).
