Hello all,

I have a problem with GetARGV definition, like in this script ‘int vdebug = getARGV("-d", 1);’ the value 1 is related to d or to vdeug?

My other question is that how can I see the total elapsed time for running my code in freefem? ( Is there a function similar to tic\_ tock in matlab?)

Thanks in advance.

The code represents the variable `vdebug` can be changed by the command line short option `-d` (vdebug=1 by default without any `-d` in command line).

For a sequential code, you can refer to the tutorial [Getting started](https://doc.freefem.org/tutorials/poisson.html), or more plain, using `FreeFem++ yourscript.edp`, you’ll see the complie time and exection time at the bottom of the output, thanks.
