# FreeFem 4.17 installation in ubuntu 26.04

Hello there, I’m trying to install FreeFem++ 4.17 by compilling from sources in ubuntu 26.04, but when I try to run any .edp file, I get the following messege

“FreeFem++: error while loading shared libraries: libhdf5\_serial.so.310: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”

Can you give some help please.
